Waltham Forest Council has set out its growth strategy from 2016 until 2020.

The recently published document focus on five key themes: business, town centres, housing, employment and skills and infrastructure.

Objectives for the borough include creating 26,000 jobs and 5,400 businesses by 2020. The 12,000 homes in the pipeline will create £1 billion of construction spending and will lead to £140 million extra being spent in local shops, according to the document.
