A shopfront improvement scheme has been carried out at a Walthamstow district.
Nine businesses at Highams Park had improvements made to their shopfronts: these included cafes, hairdressers, a Chinese takeaway, florists, a computer store, Just for Gents and a health store.
Started in September 2016, construction work was completed in December.
The improvements were funded by a £100,000 grant, which Waltham Forest Council secured from the Greater London Authority via the New Homes Bonus, a fund that rewards local authorities for providing additional homes, with funding allocated for local regeneration schemes.
Improvements include new illuminated signage, window vinyls, hand-painted wooden features and 3D signs. Each business was involved in the design of its new shopfront.
