A networking event at Leyton Technical on Leyton's High Street saw the launch of the third issue of Invest Waltham Forest.
The business publication, about development and regeneration schemes in the borough, was presented to representatives of the property industry and the council on 28 February.
The strategy for Lea Valley was one of the main topics discussed. The council recently launched a 10-year vision for the area, which revealed plans for 4,350 homes and 300,000sq m of employment and commercial space across Lea Bridge, Church Road and Leyton.
Attended by 65 people, the launch event featured speeches by Councillor Chris Robbins, the current council leader, and Councillor Clare Coghill, lead member for economic growth and high streets – who is to replace Robbins as leader in May.
Jamie Hunter, development director at Hill Residential, and Nick Cuff, land director at Pocket Living, also addressed the audience.
