Leyton gets creative

Artists from in and around Leyton are set to get their own co-working space this spring, following in the footsteps of Waltham Forest Council's first-ever co-working office, which opened in 2017.

Built by mixed-use developer Tudorvale, artistic space This Time Next Year (TTNY) is located at the junction of Ruckholt Road and Oliver Road, and comprises 929sq m of open gallery, allowing workers in the digital, media and creative arts to exhibit their work to the public, on a quarterly basis.

Offering shared desk, studio and events space for multiple firms and users, artists will also have access to yoga classes and a cafe offering locally sourced produce and coffee.

Chief operations officer, Ciara Lyons, said: "We want TTNY to not only offer a ready-made community of like-minded people but to also give members the opportunity to make valuable connections beyond the space.

"We intend to do this, through partnering with local businesses, charities and schools so that we can truly enrich and become a part of the community in Leyton."

TTNY is expected to open in spring 2018, and further details can be found by contacting Ciara Lyons at Ciara@thistimenextyear.co.uk
