Pollard Thomas Edwards (PTE) combines design talent, commercial acumen and social commitment to lift every day places out of the ordinary. Their rigorous, questioning approach produces design solutions that are intelligent, imaginative and which add value and joy.
The practice’s commitment to design quality has been rewarded with the recent accolade of the 2017 Building Design Housing Architect of the Year award and the winning of over 30 national design awards in the past three years.
PTE’s core skills are in architecture, masterplanning and urban design, property development and community engagement. They work closely and collaboratively with their clients, forging long term relationships. They are experienced in all stages of the development process from site-finding and appraisal, through planning and construction, to post-occupancy management and evaluation.
PTE specialises in the creation of new neighbourhoods and the revitalisation of old ones. Our projects embrace the whole spectrum of residential development and other essential ingredients which make our cities, towns and villages thriving and sustainable places: including schools and nurseries, health and community centres, shops and workspaces, places to recreate, exercise and enjoy civic life.
In Waltham Forest, PTE’s work includes the award winning The Scene, Walthamstow – an imaginative integration of leisure space (including a cinema and restaurants) with 121 new homes. They have also produced several masterplans for residential-led mixed use developments and a new residential development close to Lea Bridge Station that is currently under construction.
