The University of Portsmouth’s board of governors have approved moving to the next stage of delivery of their new campus in Waltham Forest.
This is exciting news for Waltham Forest as the new campus will bring a boost to our economy of up to £372 million over the next 20 years – through new jobs, local supply chains, research opportunities for local businesses and more.
This will be Waltham Forest’s only higher education campus and could host as many as 5,000 students. But it’s not only students coming into the borough who will reap the rewards - this will benefit children and young people, and give them access to cutting edge higher education and training opportunities.
Further updates on this exciting project will be provided in the coming weeks.
