November 2022 saw the return of our investors summit, bringing the best brains in inward investment into one room.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Grace Williams welcomed colleagues from across the local government investment sector. We were proud and pleased to welcome visitors to our award-winning Fellowship Square. Phase 1 of the development won the SPACES (Society for Public Architecture, Construction, Engineering and Surveying) Civic Building of the Year Award and won in the heritage category.
This site demonstrates our strategic vision for Waltham Forest for the future. New neighbourhoods that bring together the heart of our communities, delivering the homes our residents need.
Our panel including Lead Member for Housing and Regeneration Cllr Ahsan Khan, Strategic Director of Regeneration and Growth Stewart Murray and Director of Inward Investment Jonathan Martin, spoke to attendees about developing our neighbourhoods to ensure everything residents need in life is easy to reach locally, investing in infrastructure to support new developments, including Phase 2 of Fellowship Square (which you’ll hear more about later) and Coronation Square in Leyton, where we are transforming the former Score Centre into a new exciting and what will be vibrant new area of Leyton.
Our developments also align to our climate emergency declaration, and we’re proud of working with our investors and developers to make Waltham Forest a cleaner and greener place.
