Property and Delivery Team win Large Team of the Year!

At the LGC Awards in June 2023 our Property and Delivery Team took Large Team of the Year. Aiden McManus, the Commercial Director of Planning and Delivery and his team attended the awards night to receive this prestigious award. The team are responsible for the council’s physical assets and drive forward an innovative and resident-focused build approach to Waltham Forest.

The judges from LGC awards shared:

‘The winner was the team which had, in the eyes of the judges, most demonstrated innovation, and the development of a highly diverse team whilst achieving physical and social transformation across a challenging and diverse borough to make a lasting impact.’

The team also scooped a double win at the Planning Awards, including for:

  • Heritage in Placemaking with our Soho Theatre redevelopment
  • Economic Development award for our Blackhorse Lane Masterplan and Creative Enterprise Zone.
