Social value recognised, as we work to deliver for Waltham Forest residents

Amazing recognition of Waltham Forest in delivering millions of pounds in social value benefits for its residents: The council has been shortlisted for three awards at this year’s Social Value Portal National Social Value Conference 2023: Social Innovation, Social Value Leadership, and Best Project in the Public Sector.

Waltham Forest has delivered more than £29m in ‘social value’ benefits for its residents between 2021-22, creating hundreds of jobs as well as a series of impactive community initiatives. And we are on track to exceed £35m in benefits this year underlining our commitment to making a real difference to local communities and residents.

This week, Chief Executive Martin Esom attended a conference where he was part of the opening panel and talking about the importance of the social value economy.
